Alternative to daemon-tools in systray and for users (no root perm.)

Hello,

Is there a package that does the very exact same job than daemon-tools ?

Quote:
THE DAEMONS HOME
DAEMON Tools - The FREE Virtual CD/DVD-ROM-EMULATOR. Works with nearly all common imagetypes. Emulates nearly all known protections.
if, how can the daemon be runned by the user?

thanks

afaik, no.

for simple iso images

Quote:
mount -o loop <path to iso file> <mount dir>
works well

You could keep the mount dir owned by the user (or ask the user to create it himself) and it should work just fine.
