Thanx. My problem has changed though.
I am trying to set up dyndns at home and am having trouble deciding whether verizon is filtering my config is wrong or my router isn't plaing nice or all the above.
So I have the dyndns account setup. I set my SMC router to act as a virtual server and foward requests to port 80 to my internal server. I have a client dns updater running. Apache is running. I get a connection refused error.
When I run nmap it says port 80 is open. When I run nscan it says its closed. So I don't know if it's my apache refusing, the router or verizon filtering. I am having trouble getting ethereal to compile, it says my zlib is old while trying to link to X. I am running SoL on P4-1.5 for this....
Anyone dome dyndns with verizon and an SMC Barricade? Can you point me to a howto.
If this seems really in the wrong forum as the thread has changed, and you are a moderator, could you move it please?
hey i'm having the same problem with earthlink and apache and the barricade router... i'm on mandrake 9.0, but it wont sent the redirect.. maybe someone knows whats wrong?
