alsamixer command line
I try to use the alsamixer command line using script as follows:

./alsamixer set Master 10%+ > /dev/null
exit 0

It is not working as I expected as I have to hit Control-C to exit the script. How can I do it using script without any user intervention?

?? why are you sending the output to /dev/null ?
that seams odd

As I don't need to see the graphic bars and only using command line to increase or unmute the volume. I saw this command:

./alsamixer set Master 10%+ > /dev/null

from an some post on this forum a few years ago, not sure if this is the right approach.

I downloaded the alsa-utils-1.0.23, built it, and worked fine. Thanks for the info.
