alsa setting changes without no reason?

i have alsactl restore in my startup script
it works fine..

however, alsa just goes mute and i have to 'alsactl restore' from time to time
anyone had same problem?

doesn't configuring aumix unmute the alsa subsytem? I mean aumix <audio channel> <desired volume in precentage> unmute. Hope it works.
