alsa says no C compiler?


ok.. i tried to run the config scrip for alsa but this is the error i got..

[root@localhost root]# cd /root/Desktop/alsa-driver-1.0.4rc2
[root@localhost alsa-driver-1.0.4rc2]# ./configure
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
See `config.log' for more details.
[root@localhost alsa-driver-1.0.4rc2]#


any ideas?

You should install a C compiler to compile alsa-drivers.
If you already installed one, your path is messed up somehow.

Indeed. But of course, as you don't have a c compiler, you won't be able to do it from source, you should be able to install an .rpm from your Red Hat CD's though.
