ALSA requires reconfiguration after startup in arch 2009
Whenever I want my sound to work in arch whenever I start up I have to run through alsaconf and do some other commands that are on the arch wiki page. (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ALSA) The pc beep function works but sound does not work by default. Also when I do start ALSA, it uses 100% cpu. >.<
Did you followed the instructions about running "alsactl store" to save your settings and putting "alsactl restore" in rc.local, so your settings are restored every time the system boots?
