Ive got a sound blaste rlive card and when i installed slackware 9 it installed the alsa drivers but i want to use the emu10k1 driver. can anyone tell me how to tell it not to use the alsa drivers and what to put in the modules.conf file for emu10k1. there are no entries in emu10k1 for alsa.

What kernel are you using? The 2.6 kernel uses ALSA by default and includes a emu10k1 ALSA driver.

im using 2.4.22. i downloaded the emu10k1 and i tried to install it but i think i need some extra stuff in my modeuls.conf file and possibly i need to no how to uninstall or turn off the alsa drivers
