Angry alsa & arts error!!

hello...

I recently installed gentoo. I have now installed KDE and so far I am pretty impressed.... But I cant get arts to work proprely... I am using alsa with intel8x0 and it seems to work fine... But when I try to play a wave file with artsplay I get the following message:

ObjectManager: Arts::Synth_PLAY_WAV - Library missing
MCOP ObjectManager: can't find implementation for Arts::Synth_PLAY_WAV.
Segmentation fault

Anyone know what this is and how to solve it ???

You're my IDOL!

How did you get Alsa to work with intel8x0? I've been trying for 2 months
