Alsa


I have a sound card intel8x0 Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] AC'97 configured with alsa and snd drivers . After every reboot i have to reconfigure the sound and repeat alsaconf and alsactl store .
I run debian lenny on a 2.6.22 kernel.

add this to /etc/rc.local

Code:
/sbin/modprobe snd-intel8x0
then every time you boot up the PC it will automatically set the correct module for your sound card, although the volume will still be muted you can use your favorite mixer to to raise the volume, if you use alsamixer be sure to also unmute it with the "M" key, "MM" means it is muted, "00" means it is unmuted...
