alpine (pine) default user


hi

I just installed Alpine (the pine new version)
i'm connect to internet using a 56 kb modem
my mail provider is logically remote
I.E i'm bbbb@aaaaa.it
my linux userid is cccc
so alpine try to send mail using this address
cccc@aaaaa.it

how to override ?

The way I do it is to use the customized-hdrs field in .pinerc, e.g.

customized-hdrs=From: John Smith <john.smith@foobar.com>

to be more precise

hi

pine and alpine both have the same errror :

when i try to send messages :
i received the following

Mail not sent Sending error 553 cccc@aaaaa.it unable to verify the address

(i'm using a remote smtp server)

defining customized headers the probelm does not change
pine is still using the linux userid

my customized headers was without the keyword

From:

i only wrote the address
