Does anyone know of a text alphabetizing program that can distinguish and compensate for articles (the, a)? I have alphabetized a list of book titles with the OpenOffice spreadsheet, bu, not understanding articles, it groups together all titles beginning with "the."
If you had it as a flat file with 1 title per line, I'd (personally) use vim to:
:%s/^The//
which would remove 'The' at the start of each line, then you could sort the file.
