Alacarte menu item missing
Hi
I am trying to add menu items, and I went to use the alacarte menu, but guess what its missing!! I must have done something to remove it but I do not know what!!! If I use a terminal I can type alacarte at the prompt and the menu comes up allowing me to add buttons but how can I get the button to launch alacarte back?? I am on Ubuntu 6.10 Please help me!! Can't you just add a menu item for alacarte in alacarte?

Hmm, I'm not familiar with that particular distribution but it's usually possible to add menu items by right-clicking "Applications" in the task bar and then selecting "edit menu". Just add the item and submit the command needed to launch that particular application (supposing it's in /usr/bin, you would use the command "/usr/bin/alacarte").

Alacarte does not have itself as a opption, does anyone know where the icon for it is? Then I can add it as in the second post?
|
In fact closer inspection shows I have lost the icon for evolution as well, does anyone know where I can find these icons?

What do you mean that it doesn't have itself as an option? Just type the command in it.

How about /usr/share/pixmaps?
