After Effects alt.
Well, I've been using after effects for a while now, windows and mac both, mac at skool, windows at home, but i've never checked if there was a linux alternative. I googled for a few minutes.. but i didn't find anything that really helped. anyone have a Program similar to after effects for the linux platform? It'd be way to much of a resource hog to use damned wine to emulate.
PS: Just the name is really needed, i use gentoo (stage 1 install) with emerge, and if that doesnt have it, then with the name i can go find the actual site myself. Thanks.
PS: Best video editing software suggestion for linux would also help.

It would help if you told us what After Effects is and does.
As for video editors, have a look at
General purpose: Kdenlive
DV: Kino
Pro: Cinelerra

Well, you should not listen to them, just browse the gnu.org print thing out if you printer work well , if not , try to bring it some where to hire a printer then read the stuff everywhere you go, bring it w/ you never let it alone even when you sleep, you should so print very frequently bc your printer is slow, while waiting for the printing , do some sport, that's how I do when I have a problem rather than asking a forum which never give as perfect answer as search e. ...........
