Advice needed on Samba 4 for PDC and Nitrobit WSUS
I am currently planning things out for my Debian virtualbox server, and I though I query some advice.
So far I was thinking to license a Win2008 server as a vbox client for PDC, but the more I read I begin to think samba 4 might do just as well. While I was going to run the PDC licenced, and another W2K08 as a WSUS, .Net, SQL and IIS server under trial now I am getting a bit excited. If I could turn samba 4 into PDC/BDC, and if nitrobit works well with samba 4 for the WSUS, I could use the license to turn the eval for the Windows development server into a license!
Anyone has any insight along this line I could use (for both the DPC and WSUS together on Linux)? This is for my home, so it does not need to be terribly secure or robust, but AD must really needs to work the way it works on genuine Windows, and WSUS is a must due to endless re-installs I do with my eval Windows workstations and staging server guests.
Thanks for reading!
