AdobeFlash -- where is installer script?

I just downloaded Adobe flash player for Linux (install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz, using Slackware 13.37) and untarred it using the command "tar -xvzf install-etc." I have the dumbest question of all. The page http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/153/tn_15380.html says to navigate to the unpacked directory and run $./flashplayer-installer. There is no such file. Why can I not find it?

They somehow forgot to put in in there. Just copy the file libflashplayer.so to the folder /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and restart the browser. It may be possible that you have to create that folder first.

Thanks, Tobi. When I copied the so file, I got the picture I expected. Beyondken, I did not copy the usr directory that unpacked, and it did not seem necessary, though it is probably there for a reason. We would then have /usr/usr/bin, and so on. How could the flash library find it?

Well, not sure though.
The steps I followed to install flashplayer11 on firefox are:

Code:
tar zxvf flashplayer11_b2_install_lin_64_080811.tar.gz
mkdir ~/.mozilla/plugins
cp libflashplayer.so ~/.mozilla/plugins
sudo cp -r usr/ /
Non firefox:
Code:
tar zxvf flashplayer11_b2_install_lin_32_080811.tar.gz
sudo cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/
sudo cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/

From your second post:
My mistake. You just have to copy everything that is in usr from flashplugin to /usr
so, cp -r usr /

Sorry, I made a mistake and didn't read what you wrote there carefully.
The correct is cp -r usr/ /

Not hard to figure out though...
