Adobe Digital Editions - with Wine

I am using Mandriva 2010.2.
I installed Adobe Digital Editions using Wine and the install went fine. I can run adobe digital, and i can download books from my public library (download.maine.infonet.org) and they will open in Adobe Digital Editions. My problem is this: I have registered my copy with Adobe but I want to transfer these to my PanDigital Novel (white) and the device doesn't show up in Adobe Dig Editions. It does show up in Dolphin and I can browse the device. But I want to drag a book from Adobe Dig onto the PanDigital device. I am guessing it might be something to do with the way Wine recognizes devices - but being a bit of a newb i could be way off base. I checked winehq and it appears that Dig Editions 1.7 (version i am using) has silver or gold support. Any ideas would be helpful.

Shaun

I Have fixed this problem with many thanks to Lukasz @winehq. I tried it on MAndriva 2010.2 and didn't have much success; however, after installing Ubuntu 10.10 it worked like a dream.
For anyone else who has the same problems see below.

Steps necessary to connect your reader device to ADE:

1) Find your mountpoint for the device internal memory. My BOOX 60 would mount under /media/boox if i'm using HAL assited mount (via Calibre or GNOME)

2) Run winecfg and change to the [Drives] tab. Click the 'Show advanced' button (really do it now, if you do it later, winecfg resets some settings)

3) Add mapping for your mountpoint, e.g. [E: -> /media/disk]

4) Change 'Drive Type' in advanced settings to 'Floppy disk'

COMMENT: ADE considers only 'removable drives' as potential reader devices.... it has to be 'Floppy disk' in WINE.

5) Connect and _MOUNT_ your device if it is not already mounter. You have to mount it before ADE starts!

COMMENT: ADE register device notification hook to be informed if you plug devices during its run. However WINE does not support RegisterDeviceNotificationA method right now.

6) Launch ADE. It should detect your device on start.

Awesome. Worked perfectly. One thing I wanted to add which was necessary for this to work for me: when you run winecfg and do all that nixonfamilyusa says to do, you have to keep the winecfg window open. winecfg really does reset the settings right after you close the window, it seems.

Thanks!!!!
