Adobe acroread fails to load from Mozilla

Acroread 7 fails to load from Mozilla. pdf is configured in both 'preferences' and mozplugger -'helper'. Which one is prefered? How should pdf be configured? What are some other causes for acroread failing to load? It works as it should for .pdf files. It only fails from Mozilla. Thanks - Dan

Did you do this;
http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux.html#Acrobat
Does it show up when you type in the address bar about:plugins?

This error is still persisting. Mozilla will load one or a few pdf files when first loaded. However after a short will it simply downloads the files and then shows 'done' and a blank screen. To repeat: The downloads proceed until complete.

This error has been present for several months. Mozilla and Adobe have been removed and reloaded several times.

Thanks - Dan
