Admin Software

I'm looking for a couple solutions.
I want to have my cron and log daemons to email the results of certain (or all) tasks to me at my gmail address. What's the best way to approach this?

Well you can do the following:

mail -s "Cron Log `date +%m-%d-%Y`" user@gmail.com < /var/spool/cron/crontabs/root
