Adjust KDE Maximized Window Size

Is there a way to adjust the maximized window size in KDE. The only distro I've ever seen that cares if its UI is compliant with Fitts's law is Xandros--but I don't like Xandros. I would think that a person should be able to adjust the maxmized window size to make them compliant with Fitts's law on other distros.

Anyone know how to do this?

1)Open Konqueror-->
2)Configure your window size/view and what ever you want
3) Settings -->configure viewprofile -->Profilename [elempoimen] --> Check [Save Urls,Save window size]
4)Save your profile [elempoimen]
5)Create a Shortcut or) start Konqueror by --->#konqueror -profile elempoimen

That's great for Konqueror, but what about other apps? Isn't there a way to do this automatically without having to reconfigure all my links?
