Adjust contrast Xorg
Does anyone know how to adjust the contrast in xorg. I am aware of the xgama, but since I am using a laptop, I can't adjust the contrast of the screen from the hardware and would be like to adjust it with software. I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find anything. I am using Gentoo 2005.1 ~x86 and fglrx drivers.

Ok so I managed to find a program called DDC Control and I installed it but can't use it. When I run the program I get:
Code:
No monitor supporting DDC/CI available. I have the i2c-dev integrated into the kernel and I have the radeonfb as well as the ddc/i2c for ATI radeon support integrated also. I am running the fglrx driver and I am also aware of the lock caused by using the radeonfb and fglrx at the same time, this only happens when I try and restart or shutdown from gdm. I would really like to get the contrast adjusted since by default, in windows, the ATI driver has custom settings from Dell and the display looks alot nicer than in linux. |
k, update 2:
I won't be able to use that program, since radeonfb spits out: Code:
