Adding xgamma commands to startup on RH8

I want to make it so that xgamma is changed to 2.5 on startup but I don't know what file to put it in. I already tryed putting it in rc.local and that doesn't work. I know the command for it is "xgamma -gamma 2.5" but I need to know what file to put that in.
Any help would be appreciated.

well xgamma can't go in your rc.local file as it needs to be run inside X, which isn'[t runnign then, and if it was it still wouldn't be anywehere near an xserver.

best place i'd say is to add it to /home/you/.xsession to just run it for your own user. but i *think* that it's possible to set the values in the XF86Config file itself, without xgamma. not sure though.

There is no xsession file in the folder you mentioned. Also if I'am going to edit the X86Config do I have to do it in text mode and not graphical?
