Question Adding programs to the K Menu???

After I updated to gaim ver. .70, the application was removed from my Kstart -->Internet menu, how to I put it back in that menu?

Also, I went into the /usr/bin and found the gaim executable and linked it to my desktop, I want to change the icon, but it won't let me, how do I do that? Any responses would be appreciated.

for kde there is a program called
kmenuedit
which you can start from a terminal window.

RH might also have its own menu editor.

If you are still using red-hat 9 with the default set-up(gnome and kde look the same) you can add stuff to your menu in /home/username/.kde/share/applink-redhat/menuname/ directory for user settings or /usr/share/applink-redhat/menuname for global. I don't know if there is an easier way like with mandrakes menu tool but that should do.

As far as the icon, seems like you should be able to change it but not quite sure how you added the link to your desktop.
