Adding menu option (to GNOME)

If I wanted to add a new Browser option to the GNOME menu options how could I do that? I installed FireFox and want that to be a selection next to Mozzilla and Opera but even after I installed it I can't get to it via the menus. I can fire it up from the terminal but I would like to get it into the menu if that is possible let me know...
