Adding Compiz (fusion-icon) to KDE startup
Hello everyone,
I just finished doing battle with compiz fusion to get that installed and working on Slackware 12.1 (thanks to everyone at slackbuilds.org). Compiz works just dandy, but the only thing is that I can't quite figure out how to add it to a normal startup of KDE. I've been running it as soon as KDE comes up (bash: fusion-icon &). I've tried added to /etc/rc.d/rc.local but this doesn't seem to work. I installed Yakuake and it somehow runs itself every time KDE starts up. Unless this is elfin magic, there has to be some script somewhere that's dictating what should be run after KDE sets up. I also tried adding "fusion-icon &" after "startkde" in the /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc file, but that doesn't seem to do anything either. I'm guessing this is a simple problem that I'm attacking in the wrong manner (adding "fusion-icon &" to every startup script I can find). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm running Slackware 12.1 on a Compaq laptop, by the way. If you need more info on any specs, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm still in the configuration process so I'm on LQ almost hourly. Thanks!
