Adding Apt4RPM Repositories
I am running Apt4RPM and Synaptic - which is nice.
I notice that under RH9 there are only 2 repositories listed and they appear to offer the same files as my install cds (I think). How do I add extra repositories? I've had a wander through postings on LQ and tried a few Google searches and I can only find RH8 listings. Can anyone help? And should one of you point me to a Google search that I should have thought of and works, I'll hang my head in shame and mumble "thanks". |
this is standard in /etc/apt/sources.list (on debian)
deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 r0 _Woody_ - Official i386 Binary-1 (20020718)]/ unstable contrib main non-US/contrib non-US/main it's the entry to apt from the woody cdrom, maybe you can figure out how to use the RedHat cdrom's with apt |
Check freshrpms.net, it will tell you what to do.
Unfortunately, for reasons I am currently investigating/attempting to solve at the moment, packages must be rebuilt for each version of each distro. As RH9 is very new, there won't be many packages for it yet. |
