Adding a track to a cd

I used kcreatecd within the KDE environment.

The burning of the CD was great, and it played without any problems on my cd player.

However, I forgot a track from my paper list, but can't seem to add it.

Is it possible to add a track to the CD-R, if so how?

Thanks

Could be wrong, but I don't think you can add to an audio cd, only for data, and only if you started the disk as multisession. Just burn a new one.

Thanks. Do have any idea as to why a track can't be added?

Unfortunately, no. Short answer is it just don't work that way. Think of it like this: before technologies like "burn-proof" came along, if the data buffer on your burner ran out, a coaster was all you would get because the recorder had no way of finding the place where the burned section ended.

My uninformed guess is that in order for multisession to work, there must be some kind of special "footer" written to the last used part of the disk. This was put into the specification for data disks, but not the much older specification for audio. That uses a different "footer". Ever see the message for "closing session"?
