Is there any software that I can use to view ALL the applications I have installed and to simply remove them whenever i want within the gui like in windows (Control Panel->Add/Remove). Thanks.
This can be done using your package manager most likely. It also is possible to install a lot more using this than is done with windows. Exactly which package manager you have depends on what distro you're using, so if you tell us what you use we can help you figure out how to use the package manager.
You should be able to install yum ex with the following command.
yum in-y install yumex
The -y option tells yum to say yes to all questions.
Yumex stands for yum extender which is the guied version of yum the standard fedora/redhat package manipulation tool.
