add color to emacs
 

Hi everyone,
I just installed minix on qemu on my macbook
I'm trying to get emacs to do syntax highlight for me.

I try list-color-display but it shows nothing, how can I add color here?

M-x global-font-lock-mode

... This, of course, assumes you have the elisp for that particular language.

I already have global font lock mode and font lock mode on
but I think the problem is there's no color as when i do list color display , it gives me nothing instead red, green ,blue. I try doing list color display on other machine and it gives me red, green , blue , etc..
