add application to menu


is it possible to install application for example:
apt-get install httrack, and then automatically add this application to the menu?

Normaly depending on what system and GUI the program shortcut will be automatically added to the main menu, but sometimes it may not happen, and then the solution is to manually add it to the scripts related to the main menu.
Now note that httrack is a command line program and may not work as intented if launched from a menu. Also check out webhttrack it may offer a little more graphical tool.

Thanks man,

The command: sh -c "/usr/bin/httrack;${SHELL:-bash}" is not working?
anything wrong with it?

$ man httrack didn't give anything.
I tried to use other command for application installed same as what i mentioned above, and it didnt work.
I just want to know the concept.
