Active Active Loadbalancing

Dear Experts,
I have a scenario where we are running our load balancer application in active-standby configuration which is distributing UDP traffic on a set of backend servers for processing. I want to utilize the resources available on standby server also hence need to run the setup in active-active mode.
I have seen a paper here describing the active-active setup using saru and ultramonkey and suitable for my need, but it seems saru is only working for older kernel and there is no activity since 2003.
I am running my setup on RHEL5 currently can any one suggest any similar kind of tools?

Also is active-active loadbalancer setup possible with LVS-Heartbeat or UCARP ?

Regards
Sunil

Hello,

Have a look at corosync and Pacemaker for a more up to date (and actively maintained) replacement for what you're using.

Kind regards,

Eric
