acroread convert to postscript to always shrinks pdf?
Because of xpdf's lack of support for some new pdf features which I commonly deal with, I am trying to replace the pdftops cups filter with a filter that uses acroread. So far I have managed to make everything work perfectly except that acroread seems to insist on shrinking the pdf to fit on a page with margins. The shrink is very noticeable and completely unnecessary because all of the pdfs I print already have margins.

Through experimenting, I have discovered that through acroread's print window, I can turn off shrinking, but it defaults to being on. The same default seems to apply via command line, but the only option acroread has relating to shrinking is to turn it on. Am I missing something?

If you haven't already, look at the man page and try out some options - the -expand one looks like it might be promising.
And if you are using version 5, upgrading to version 7 may help.

The -expand option doesn't help and as far as I can tell from reading the man page, not including the -shrink option should cause acroread to not shrink the pdf. I think the problem here is that someone decided to make shrink the default option and forgot to change the command line options. Maybe there is some environment variable which can be set or something can be done with the -setenv option.

Searching Google hasn't revealed anything yet. (for me, at least)

Edit: By the way, I am using version 7.
