Acronis True Image ?

Is it Acronis True Image 11 really so good?
Last time I wanted backup a whole Linux machine.
Symantec Ghost 8.5 has strictly refused making an image because of bad blocks.
Acronis True Image 11 has done without a warning.
In internet is it quite a lot about many problems with Acronis True Image.
I wonder slowly but surely, if I should use an another cloning tool, like g4l.

As far for symantec ghost and acronis, I've been more successful using acronis but I've had problems with both, more often with symantec.

I have sometime without using them though, I started to use clonezilla and end very happy with it
