ACPI Suspend with powersaved but KDE freezes after bootup
Hello everyone,
first off all, sorry for my bad English, less practice.
I open a Thread in German at
<www . linux-club . de/viewtopic.php?t=18637>
please remove the spaces above :-)
just in case you need some info what i have done before.
Please let me know if you want those infos here in this Thread,
so i will copy them here. :-)
my problem is:
I would like to use Suspend to RAM.
I know it is no Hardware issue, therefor i post the question here.
It must be a software issue base on Suse Linux 9.1 with kernel 2.6.5-7,
because before i run Win XP pro and hibernating function fine.
I guess the problem is AGP or NVIDIA_AGP or ATI driver
so when i type "powersaved –suspend" in the Terminal (console)
KDE is shutting down
it seem it is writing all RAM to disk
my workstation is powering off
after powering on it seem to read swap back to RAM
now the KDE would come up
but it freezes
it get a black screen with some colors, no mouse movement, no reaction on the keyboard
Any idea? I really would like to use this features
Thanks
Tony
