when ever i try launch acid rip i land up with this error

yes it did it installed without any errors

what the error means is that a perl library that you need (acidrip.pm) is not on your system.

You have perl version 5.10 which is the most recent one; you might have some older versions of perl on your system as well and if acidrip ever worked on your system, you might find the library you need in one of your older version libraries. Look in /usr/lib/perl5 and see what is there under the subdirectories. Pay attention to the path information given you in your error message; that will guide you a bit in what to look for.
