If you got a different partition or hard drive with windoze on it, try using the Captive NTFS driver (google for it). If it's a different computer on a LAN, try using Samba.

basic question we forgot
I tried to post this response on my son's AOL service, and got an IP BANNED message. I have no idea why AOL can't hit this URL.
Anyway, first when someone asks about access to Windows files, first make sure they know that on many distros those files will be located at /mnt on some machines, it will be /mnt/windows on others it might be /mnt/fat32 or someother name. I am guessing your advice was what he needed, because there is no further posting, but for other newbies who come here via google, thought I'd tack this on. |
u got a banned message??? hahahah unbelieveable, I mean I've read stories about AOL but nothing like this lol...
Yes u r right comrad irlandes, we jumped 2 the conclusion that the user had already try those dir /mnt/windows or /mnt/fat32 |
