Acer lap top


I have a 2nd hand laptop here

AcerNote 730i
486sx
mem 3712
looks like a 200 meg hard drive
No CD rom
Floppy
com 1 and com 2
printer port

I was wondering if i can put a Linux OS on it.? using floppies and were can i get some to download ?

you could probably get slackware on it. I would put the hard drive in another computer, copy the install files you will need, then make a boot floppy, and do a VERY minimal install. If you want a gui you will need to use some rugged minimalist desktop. do a google for y-windows. that is a small X server i hear.
