Acer Aspire One Linux OS

Hi everyone,
Bought an Acer Aspire one netbook a couple of months ago and today when im playing a video it decides to crash.

So i turned it off, turned it back on and it stays as a black screen after it loads up. I was told that my start up file has corrupted and i need to install it again.

As it didn't come with a recovery Cd, where can i download that exact Operating system again. I've looked on the linpus Linux lite site and the system looks different.

Could anyone tell me where i could download this exact version of linux lite from? It had aspire one on the desktop screen

Thanks

No recovery / install CD ? But then the Acer Aspire One doesn't have a CD drive.

All is not lost: just install another version of linux (search engines are your friends here).

Here's one link for you: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne

I have an Asus eee701 (which I love) but the original OS (Xandros linux) didn't last long, so I am now happily running kubuntu 8.04 on it.

yeah I tried that one, searched for a different one when the other one went.

Don't really like the colours at all of unbunta. But i was really looking for the exact one.

Did look on the Linpus Lite site and i found it again but it doesn't have a aspire one writing at the beginning!

Thanks

Hi ultimatemass,

When you start your acer just be pacient. I have sometimes after a crash the same problem. The booting takes then more than 5 minutes, it seems that the system cheques the harddisk.

Good look.
