Account settings mangled after update

I just upgraded my system to Mandrake 10. This updated my version of KDE to 3.2. When I logged into my account, I noticed that my menu settings where destroyed. Trying to fix this, I noticed that a lot of basic KDE tools were not working (i.e. configure desktop). I tried logging into my wife's account and found that her account was normal. The KDE tools that were not working in my account worked perfectly fine under her account. How can I repair my account's desktop settings?
