Accessing window managers from Mandrake 9.1 login screen

I have compiled and installed Blackbox without problems on Mandrake 9.1. What I would like to be able to do is to offer it to my users as a window manager option on the main login screen (the one that comes up when the box is first booted), along with KDE, Gnome, WindowMaker, and IceWM.

However, I have been unable to find out how to do this. The only answers I have found so far involve editing .xinitrc and restarting X. However, even these steps were unsuccessful.

If someone could explain how to add this as a login menu option, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I answered my own question... going from an earlier post (I forget who put it up), I added a file named 04Blackbox to /etc/X11/wmsession.d . In that directory you will also find 01KDE, 02GNOME, 03WindowMaker, etc. Create a file for the window manager you wish to add, similar to the others. Then, reboot.

My mistake was merely logging out. Blackbox did not appear in the list when I logged out, but did after I rebooted.

Hope this helps someone else.
