Accessing a remote X server from a Windows machine

Hello everyone,

in college, I can access the graphical server of *NIX machines while on Windows clients via a program by Hummingbird called Exceed, which works really great.

However, I'd also like to do that from home...I've tried using Cygwin-X but it just doesn't seem to work...

Does anyone know a good, easy to use, Windows client for remote X servers?

And another thing...there is an authentication machine in college to which I connect via ssh, and from that "tunnel" I'd be able to access the X server...can any client do that?

Best regards!

You could give XLiveCD a go - http://xlivecd.indiana.edu.

Works well from where I am - a little slow compared to the commercial versions, but otherwise good.

Cheers,

mj
