access samba shares from win2000

I have a network with 5 machines on it ,4 machines are running windows2000 and one server running linux. I am running red hat 7.2 and samba ver 2.1.1. I can access the shares on the windows machines from the the linux machine, but I cannot access the linux shares from the windows machine, although I can see the linux machine in network places. when I try to access the linux machine I get an error message : "network path not found". can anyone tell me whats going on here?
