Access currently running desktop remotely

Hello all,

I have a raspberry pi connected to a TV, and I want to access the currently displayed session remotely. I have xrdp and tight VNC server installed, but when logging in remotely, I login into a new session. I want to login to the session being displayed on the TV. What's the best way to go about this?

Thank you in advance!

X11 grabbing

FFmpeg can grab the X11 display.
ffmpeg -f x11grab -s cif -i :0.0 /tmp/out.mpg
0.0 is display.screen number of your X11 server, same as the DISPLAY environment variable.
ffmpeg -f x11grab -s cif -i :0.0+10,20 /tmp/out.mpg
Your welcome.

And welcome to Linux Questions.
