About returned all entries by "ldapsearch -x"

As known, in OpenLDAP's "slapd.conf" file, set the "sizelimit" to "-1" will unlimite the number of returned entries. If the sizelimit is set a common number, e.g. 3000, the max 3000 items would be returned back.

In my case, I want to use "ldapsearch -x" to get all the entries even the sizelimit has been set a small number.

First, I created a ldif file and import 20000 entries into OpenLDAP server, and then modify "sizelimit" in "slapd.conf" to 1000. Issue "ldapsearch -x", only returned 1000 entries as the sequence as they were added to the OpenLDAP.

I've tried use filter to split the 20000 entries into 1000 per page in order to return all entries by pages displaying. As the result, I failed at this testing, for I could not indicate the right range.

Would you please give me some advice on how to display all these 20000 entries by spliting into pages? Any suggestion appreciated.

Thanks and regards.

How about try command "slapcat"?

Thank you, filex. "sldapcat" stands on the OpenLDAP server, what I want is using "ldapsearch -x" on the Client to get all entries even the sizelimit has not been changed. I guess you advise me to export ldif file to the client, and then split them into pages, do i right?
