about linux


is red hat linux 9 any good or the old version are butter.

Well why don't you read the reviews?

I've only tried Mandy 9.1 so I can't really compare, but It is damn good if your a newb to linux!

There is a rule in tux-enviroment: newer - better.

New version always has some extra stuff and removal of existing bugs and having some new bugs. Now it depends what is the usage of RH9 with you.

RH9 is quite stable, the application is a bit old. You may need to download the new mozilla/firebird, mplayer, xchat...etc
