Welcome to LQ

We're going to need a little more info such as which version of Ubuntu, Which browser, etc

It's also not clear exactly what you're trying to do, are you using the discord app? And where are you playing the sound from?

It would also help if we knew what you tried already.

If you're using the app, what does discord have to do with chrome playing sound?

On Windows it's easy, just set your Mic to system sound, On Linux you'll probably have to set up pulse-audio and maybe even Jack-audio to do this.

Here are some things that might help
https://music.tutsplus.com/articles/...o--audio-20601

Here is a tutorial on how to route system sound through Jack to audacity, while this is not what you want to do, it should still give you an idea how it works
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/t..._on_linux.html

Let us know what works
