about command ll


when i type the shell "ll",it shows:
i want to know what "总用量 80" means?

[aaaa@good xyz]$ ll
总用量 80
drwxr-xr-x 5 aaaa users 4096 2月 28 13:18 admin

that command is aliased to "ls -l", in English it would say "total 80", which is the number of blocks on the disk allocated for all the files in the directory, or something like that

but if we know the "total 80" ,we can get the infomation of the number of blocks on the disk allocated for all the files in the directory,except above,what it has other usage?

Hi Acrow;

I'm not sure if I understand your last question. I will try to help with a couple of other standard commands:
  • du: disk usage will tell you how much space is being used
  • df: disk free will provide a summary of free space on all of your mounted disks
  • alias: alone on the command line alias will tell you which aliases have been defined and what their definitions are
  • man: the manual can be of great help in learning the command line
