have downloaded adbeRdr 9,5,5,-i386 linux_enu.deb and unpacked in terminal. when i wanted to install it, it says - bad quality package - and that installation could damage my PC. has anybode had this kind of experience yet ? if it is really dangerous I rather not install it. I have to work with a lot with pdf and cannot print the documentviewer. thanking in advance,

I'm running Adobe Reader 9.5.4 01/09/2013 on my Ubuntu 14.04 with no problems. I wasn't aware that there was a different version number.

Hello Knudfl, I followed the instructions on another website - how to install Adobe Reader in Ubuntu 14.10, where it advised to got to handbook utopic to add a repository - r deb http archive canonical. com /precise partner. this also recommand to uninstall the repository after successfull installation. Guess have to uninstall this repository in terminal before following your advice ?

Would be better to remove - if not in use, but not really relevant.
