Abiword won't run

It starts flashing an icon then I get an error related to fonts and X server that refers me to Abiword help documentation. The I click OK and the Abi splash appears for 1 second and disa ppears without a running program. From the command it returns:

/usr/bin/abiword: line 67: 5193 aborted $ABISUITE_LIBEXEC/abiword_d "$@"

I installed the rpm on rh 7.3 running kde3.
I first tried upgrading, then remove and install.

Anyone?

When you installed, did you install with check dependancies? When I upgraded abiword, there were a couple libraries I didn't have. Get those installed, and abi runs fine.

Gee that was helpful. You must be bored.
Why don't you go help some Windows users instead of trolling around ?

Since KDE3 by default runs out of /opt rather than /usr, and since MOST instructions for the KDE3 install talk about modifying the $PATH, is it possible that there is a path problem in that Abiword can't find its libraries?

Delete the ~/.AbiSuite directory, apparently it gets left over from the previous install and screws up the latest version.
