Arrow Abiword?

How good does Abiword read Microsoft Office files compared to OpenOffice? Can it replace OpenOffice if I need a good translater of doc files but not a very advanced wordprocessor?

Abiword is very good and lightweight compared to OpenOffice, but I don't think it has as much features as OpenOffice. I generally use Abiword to read doc files, and OpenOffice to edit them.
