A2DP SPECIFICALLY for Fedora

I just need someone to confirm that a2dp does not work any longer in Fedora26. Then I can quit messing with it. I DO have pulseaudio.

It USED to work but I don't recall if it was 24 or 25 when it quit and I cannot find a reason for it's disappearance. The missing file seems to be libasound_module_pcm_bluetooth.so and even though I shouldn't have, tried installing from other distros.

I have been using Fedora for years and used to have options for A2DP or HSP/HFP and would choose A2DP and had no problems. Somewhere along the line A2DP disappeared and I didn't bother to pursue it but now I am actively using the headset (same one that used to work) and there is no A2DP profile available.

Answers for *buntu, Slackware, gentoo, etc. will do no good

Welcome to LQ.

On Fedora, you're a crashtester for alpha/beta level Red Hat software. They're quick to drop stuff.
If you need that lib, and you haven't got it, and another doesn't work, the one remaining trick is to run
Code:

# ldconfig
as root. If it's still gone, decide which you want more: fedora or your program. If it's your program, change distribution.
